Erik Horne, an agile leader in DevSecOps, is a new colleague on the team building Seclight with a focus on digital security

Erik has over 20 years of experience helping development teams gain structure and become more efficient, as well as comply with internal and external information security requirements. Erik has mainly worked in industries such as banking/finance, insurance and telecom.

What’s the most important thing to keep in mind as a leader when building a high-performing team?

That everyone feels safe knowing it’s okay to explore — sometimes it works and sometimes you have to rethink. At its core, it’s largely about trust, trusting your team. If you then create an environment where you draw on each other’s strengths and see them as opportunities to grow together, it’s incredibly inspiring.

What are you most excited about in joining Seclight?

The opportunity to help build something together. Taking everything positive from previous experience and developing an idea of what makes a company good.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

I appreciate doing something analogue, since so much of the workday involves technology in various forms.
