Seclight on site after Undutmaning

Ric, Ulf and Peter from Seclight visited the Swedish History Museum in Stockholm together with guests from Undutmaning24 and its organisers: the Swedish Security Service (Säpo), the National Defence Radio Establishment (FRA), the Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) and the Swedish Armed Forces (Försvarsmakten).

Building the team matters to Seclight. We see how it delivers immediate impact and lasting results for the clients we work with. It’s also fun. We naturally took the opportunity to meet each other, and to meet others who have also competed in IT security.

During a guided tour, we learned, among other things, that skill in board games meant high status among the Vikings, since it demonstrated strategic ability.

The Vikings played Hnefatafl, a forerunner of what later became chess. For Seclight, it’s Capture-The-Flag that counts. For anyone who wants to know more about how games influence decision-makers, Ric recommends an interview with Seth Godin.

Pontus Johnson from KTH joined and talked about how, in the long run, AI can benefit defenders in the fight against attackers — when AI effectively detects and prevents vulnerabilities in code. Before we get there, Pontus foresees a tough period ahead, where attackers supported by AI today find and exploit vulnerabilities faster than defenders can protect themselves.
