Information security is a top job in Sweden

The role of Information Security Officer is one of the fastest-growing jobs in Sweden over the past three years. Many are recognising the need for what Seclight calls the right security, in the right order.

This comes from LinkedIn's own ranking of jobs posted on its platform. According to LinkedIn, as an Information Security Officer you implement and govern security measures, address risks across the organisation together with relevant parties and stakeholders, and evaluate risk — services Seclight offers and areas where Seclight recruits.

The role of Information Security Officer corresponds to a number of completed and ongoing assignments for Seclight. With its focus on information and IT security, Seclight covers even more areas of responsibility, roles and tasks than that. The ECSF framework describes 12 professional roles. Read about ECSF here.

A third of the jobs in this category went to women, according to LinkedIn. That matches Seclight's own gender balance today. Slightly more than half of an assignment is often carried out remotely. Only rarely is an entire assignment carried out remotely, according to LinkedIn. That, too, matches closely how Seclight works.
